The true meaning of ‘carbs’

“I think the problem is many people associate the word carb with starches and sugar laden foods. Fruits/veg eaten in correct amounts provide the nutrition/satiety and energy needed to fuel someone that is moderately active and looking to lose fat.”
These are the carbs to stress, they include but are not limited to: low sugar fruits (berries, apples, pears, citrus), non starchy veggies (green beans, zucchini, leafy greens, cucumber, mushrooms, beets, asparagus…). They contain water, fiber, and nutrients so your body can function well and be lean AND they taste delicious! It’s a win win! 🙂
